Since the establishment of the deparment, our research activities have sought “to scientifically ascertain and implement the principles of public health” and our mission has been to contribute to medical advancements through quality academic research and disseminating the gained scientific knowledge widely to society, the art of which ultimately contributes to social progress.

In order to deliver high-quality scientific accomplishments to society, we will continuously refine the process of epidemiology research — from research design and data gathering to data analysis — and practice a scientific and multifaceted? approach to problem-solving.
We seek to contribute to social progress by actively being engaged in public health activities that disseminates to and share with society the scientific knowledge gained through research.
By fostering researchers and practitioners in the field of public health and preventive medicine, who are equipped with the wisdom and character of a social opinion leader, we will contribute to the advancement of public health and progress of medicine.
