Public health is a socially organized endeavor to prevent diseases and to promote the physical and mental health of all people. The discipline of public health is the science and art of accomplishing this goal. Through quality academic research, we seek to contribute to medical advancements, disseminating the gained scientific knowledge widely to society, the art of which ultimately contributes to social progress. "To scientifically ascertain and implement the principles of public health" is the underlying motto of our educational, research, and social activities.
